Kohima-Jessami road: SPO resolves to cooperate with district admin

Kohima, September 22 (MExN): Secheku Public Organization (SPO) and its constituent villages have resolved to bury their differences with regard to the 2-lane (SARDP-NE) Kohima-Jessami road.

They further resolved to extend cooperation to the district administration “for the smooth progress, quality workmanship and timely completion of the ongoing mega project” in their jurisdiction.

The resolution was made in an emergency consultative meeting convened by the SPO at Mesulumi Baptist Church Conference Hall on September 21.

Representatives of SPO constituent villages from Chizami Range Public Organization (CRPO), Razeba Public Organization, (RPO) Centre Chakhesang Public Organization (CCPO), Village Council chairmen and NH-29 Two Lane Affected Land Owners Committee, Secheku Area (NH-29 TLALOCSA) headed by its convener Zechete Mekrisuh and the District Level Verification Committee headed by Sub Divisional Officer (C) Pfutsero Thungbemo Patton attended the meeting held in the presence of MLA 17th Chizami A/C Kezhenyi Khalo and Chakhesang Public Organization (CPO) headed by its President Mikha Kenye.

According to a press statement from the SPO President and General Secretary, the house also resolved to appeal to the competent authority to extend fair and unbiased properties and damage compensation to the affected land owners as per DPR and latest schedule of rates.
