Kohima, January 15 (MExN): The farewell programme for the out-going Deputy Commissioner, Kohima, Rajesh Soundararajan, IAS was held on January 15 at the Deputy Commissioner conference Hall, Kohima.
The out-going Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Soundararajan, IAS took charge as Deputy Commissioner Kohima on January 5, 2017 and is now being posted as Deputy Commissioner Mokokchung after a very successful and eventful term of two years as Deputy Commissioner Kohima, stated a DIPR report.
In his farewell speech, Rajesh Soundararajan, IAS said that it was a great challenge to be the DC of Kohima and his toughest challenge yet has been the law and order situation that arose during the ULB elections. He said that all these events has been a great learning experience and will help him in dealing with such situations in future.
He thanked all his colleague administrative officers, SP Kohima and his subordinate officers, elected members of Kohima District, NGOs and various civil societies in Kohima for extending their full co-operation and support in all his endeavours as a government servant. He also encouraged one and all to continue the various initiatives that has started during his short tenure to ensure that the State Capital moves forward in the right direction in all aspects of Development.
“Kohima is a bit different from other districts by virtue of being the capital and it is a rare privilege to be the DC of Kohima,” he said.
Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa, ADC Kohima spoke on behalf of the DC office staff. She said that it had been a very eventful two years and they have a learned a lot working under him and wished him all the best for his term as DC Mokokchung. SP Kohima, Vice President, Angami Public Organization, President Angami youth Organization and Chairman Gurkha Panchayat all spoke during the occasion and highlighted the successful term of the out-going DC and thanked him for the remarkable development and changes he has helped initiate in the state capital and also wished him well for his new posting as DC Mokokchung.
The programme was chaired by Longasen Lotha, SDO (c) Sardar, Kohima who also pronounced the vote of thanks and a special song was presented by the Dobashis of Kohima.
Mokokchung: Farewell programme in respect of Sachin Jaiswal, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung was held on January 15 at DC Bungalow, Mokokchung.
The outgoing Deputy Commissioner joint office as SDO(C) Mokokchung on December 15, 2015 and during his short stint of three years and one month in Mokokchung, besides many achievements, two elections were successfully conducted.
The Deputy Commissioner in his farewell speech said his stay in Mokokchung for more than three years was a memorable and successful journey saying that he has learnt a lot. He said all the things that was done and achieved in the District during his time was not limited to him or the administration alone but everything was made possible through the support of all the officers and staff of different departments in the district, the NGOs and the people of the district.
In the programme, short speeches were delivered by Dr. Kibang, Dy. CMO on behalf of DPDB Members, Dr. B.M. Sunep, CVO on behalf of OCM, Raguramarajan. A, IPS, S.P, Mokokchung, Chubawati, President, Ao Senden, Moainba, UDA on behalf of DC Staff, Noklentoba, PA to DC, Tuli on behalf of Dobashis, Razouvolie Dozo, ADC, Mangkolemba on behalf of Outpost Admin officers and W. Manpai Phom, ADC, Mokokchung on behalf of DC Office.
Special song was presented by Talipokum Pongener and Associate Pastor, MTBA, Temsuwati said the invocation. The programme was chaired by Thungchanbemo Tungoe, SDO(C), Mokokchung.
