The New Market community hall-cum-car parking was formally inaugurated by MLA Keneizhakho Nakhro on May 13. This project was a joint venture of Kohima Smart City Development Limited (KSDCL) and New Market ward under Smart City Mission.
In his address, Nakhro urged upon other ward leaders in Kohima to associate with KSCDL towards holistic development of Kohima city.
In a technical report, Theruovituo Pienyü, Executive Engineer of Municipal Affair informed that the project was sanctioned under slum area upgradation as one of the pilot projects of Areas Based Development (ABD) of Kohima Smart City Mission funded by the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs.
