Dimapur, May 13 (MExN): The annual physical verification for pensioners drawing pension from Kohima North Treasury will commence on June 6, Senior Treasury Officer Limatemsu informed in a circular on Friday.
As per the circular, the physical verification for family pensioners will begin with effect from June 6 to June 13 followed by life pensioners from June 14 to June 28.
Stating that the verification exercise would commence from 9:30 am onwards, the STO informed all concerned pensioners to check their book serial numbers and date in the notice board and come for verification on the allotted dates.
Pensioners who are unable to come for the physical verification due to reasons such as bed-ridden illnesses, should submit their home address with contact numbers, whereby an officer will be sent to verify, it said.
There will be no further extension for physical verification beyond the dates mentioned above; moreover no pension payment from the month of June 2022 will be made without the pensioners’ physical verification. All verified and unverified pension is to be compiled and forwarded to Directorate of Treasuries & Accounts, Nagaland, Kohima, by July 30, 2022, the circular stated.
Meanwhile, it also informed that the documents required for physical verification include PPO Books; Life certificates duly attested; and ID card issued by Pensioners Association.
Life certificates can be collected from the pension section with effect from May 10, it added.
