Kohima: Pipping Ceremony for promoted uniformed staff held

Kohima, June 18 (MExN): The Pipping ceremony of the promoted officers under the Southern Territorial Circle from the Department of Environment, Forest & Climate Change was held at the Conference Hall, Forest Office complex, Kohima on June 18.  The ceremony was held in the presence of Velatso Demo IFS, Working Plan Officer, Kohima, Chisayi IFS, DFO, Kohima, Dr Sevono Seletsu SFS, DCF, Kohima and Yhuntilo Kent, RFO, Tseminyu, stated a press release received here. 

Speaking during the ceremony, Hemant Bhaskar Kamdi IFS, CF (HQ) & CF (STC)-in-Charge said that the pipping ceremony is being observed in honour of the newly promoted uniformed staff. He said that they being uniformed staff and being promoted, they are recognised in public. Kamdi therefore said that they should develop a sense of pride and boost their moral. He said that they are promoted to the new rank because of their good records and sincerity in executing their duties. He spoke about the importance of family support in the lives of the uniformed staff. 

During the ceremony, three individuals namely –Thenuvikho Khizho, Medolezo Kire and Neivotuo Pienyu were promoted to the rank of Range Forest Officer from Deputy Forest Ranger, while three other staff namely –Imnasenla Imsong, Neitho and Rudosielie Medom were promoted to the rank of Deputy Forest Ranger from Forester-I.

The newly promoted officers also shared their experiences of their earlier works and their commitment to undertake their future assignments. 

The Pipping Ceremony was chaired by Dr Sevono Seletsu SFS, DCF Kohima, while Vedelü Seleyi, Social Forestry Kohima invoked God’s blessings for the ceremony. Meanwhile, Kiheto Phucho, LDA, CF (STC) proposed the vote of thanks.
