Kohima, April 4 (MExN): Kohima Police manning Khuzama Inter-State Check while conducting routine checking intercepted one vehicle (Toyota Fortuner) bearing registration number ML-11- 1111 bound to Guwahati from Imphal on April 4. On frisking of the vehicle, 220 soap cases of heroin weighing approximately 2.6 kilos which was concealed in the vehicle were recovered. The value of the illegal contraband in the national market is estimated to be around three crore, stated a press release from PRO DEF, Kohima. In this connection, two persons namely Taj Uddin (23) and Dhundreimayum Nawaz (25) were arrested and the vehicle along with the contraband were seized. Accordingly, a case under NDPS Act has been registered at Khuzama Police Station for the purpose of further investigation.
