Kohima, August 13 (MExN): The mobile unit of Kohima Police intercepted one Maruti Alto (regd. No. AS12G-5463) near South Point Market, Kohima and recovered 90 bottles each of Mc Rum and whiskey from the vehicle on August 10. Two occupants of the vehicle identified as Yewoto Yepthomi and Bokato Swu were arrested following the recovery, informed a press release from Additional Superintendent of Police & PRO, Kohima.
In another incident on August 11, a lost vehicle was intercepted at Peducha Police check gate. According to the PRO press release, information was received at South Police Station, Kohima that a Maruti Gypsy bearing registration No. NL10-4941 was lost from Agri Colony, Kohima. Immediately, all police units were alerted and the vehicle was intercepted at Peducha Police check gate, it said. Two persons identified as Shayang Konyak and Tokishe Jakhalu @ Toki were arrested in this connection.
Accordingly, cases were registered under relevant sections of law and investigation taken up, the release added.
