Kohima, May 29 (MExN): Kohima Police personnel manning Peducha check gate arrested one person for driving with fictitious vehicle Registration Card (Smart Card) on May 28, according to a press release from SDPO/PRO, Kohima Police (South). The vehicle driven by the accused identified as Welewu Keyho was detained at Peducha check gate. During verification, the police found that the chassis and engine number engraved on the vehicle and smart card (RC book) did not tally with the records of NCRB database, the release said. It was also ascertained that the seized vehicle was plying with a fictitious Registration Card (smart card), it added. Accordingly, the vehicle was seized and the driver identified as Welewu Keyho (27) was arrested. In this connection, a regular case vide Kohima Sechü (Zubza) PS Case No. 0010/2016 U/S 379/468/471 IPC has been registered against the arrested person for conducting further investigation, the PRO said. The details of the vehicle are: Tata Xenon, Registration No. - NL-07A/5863, Chassis No. -MAT524005ESH05131, Engine No. - 497SPTC43HYY629317.
