KOHIMA, OCTOBER 14 (MExN): Acting on a tipoff of a person allegedly demanding money from business establishments in Kohima Town, Kohima Police on October 11 arrested one person in this connection. A press release from the PRO, DEF Kohima informed that Kohima Police comprising of North PS, Mobile Unit, District Anti Extortion Team and IRB, led by SDPO (North) Kohima along with the local community members conducted an operation and arrested one person identified as Vilhou, a cadre of NSCN (Khango) group. A regular case has been registered vide North PS Case No. 0052/2023 U/S 384 IPC R/W Sec. 7 NSR and investigation taken up, the press release added.
