Kohima, July 5 (MExN): The Kohima police on July 4 arrested an extortionist in connection with Kohima North PS case no 0018/2020.
According to a statement from the office of the Superintendent of Police, Kohima, the absconding person was apprehended from Para-Medical area in Kohima.
The accused, identified as Khosato Keyho, also known as Kenny (25), is a habitual offender and was earlier arrested in connection with two cases under Kohima North PS and Kohima South PS, according to the statement. He has been remanded into police custody for further investigation, it added.
Meanwhile, based on an FIR lodged at North Police Station Kohima on June 29, one Richard Humtsoe (45) was arrested on July 3.
The FIR was lodged by the Chiechamiapfü Mechü Krotho (CMK) against Humtsoe for his post in social media making serious allegations against the community/village, the statement informed.
He was arrested from Peducha (Lalmati police post) and a case has been registered against him for conducting further investigation in this connection, it added.
