Kohima, April 17 (MExN): Kohima Police recovered the body of an unresponsive individual along Thizama Road on April 16 evening. Police said information about the individual was received at around 8:00 pm, following which a team from North Police Station rushed to the spot. A Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team was also requisitioned to assist in the examination of the scene. Upon arrival, the FSL team conducted a detailed preliminary examination and the body was recovered. Based on initial investigation, no indication of foul play has been detected at this stage, police said. An inquest was conducted as per legal norms and, after completion of all necessary formalities, the body was handed over to the family members for final rites. Police said investigation into the incident is ongoing and assured that all aspects surrounding the case would be thoroughly examined.
