Kohima, April 6 (MExN): The Kohima Police personnel manning Khuzama inter-state check gate recovered a total of 997 bottles of banned cough syrup on April 5 while conducting routine checking of vehicles.
In this connection, one person identified as Ashikur Islam (25 yrs) was arrested for carrying the banned items and the vehicle along with the banned cough syrup were seized, informed a press release from the PRO Kohima Police
A case under the NDPS Act has been registered at Khuzama Police Station for the purpose of further investigation, it added.
