Kohima, June 29 (MExN): The Kohima Police today recovered 4 (four) kilos of contraband opium in liquid form and arrested one person in this connection. Sub-Divisional Police Officer (South) & PRO, Kohima Police, Atu Zumvü (NPS) informed in a press note that the recovery was made in the afternoon during a routine checking by Kohima Police personnel manning interstate check gate at Khuzama. The opium was recovered from the possession of one person travelling in a passenger taxi. It was found neatly wrapped in 4 (four) Everyday milk packets when recovered by the police, it added. The police identified the person as Lalsat Mizo (54) of Saparmaina Village under Gamnom Saparmaina PS in Sadar Hill, Manipur. A regular case was registered against the arrested person at Khuzama PS for conducting further investigation.
