Kohima, June 17 (MExN): The Kohima Press Club (KPC) held a general meeting on June 17, where various matters pertaining to the welfare of the club and its members were discussed, informed a press release from KPC General Secretary, Alice Yhoshu. The house also approved the audit report presented by the audit committee.
Meanwhile, the KPC Executive Council has announced that the club’s annual membership drive - renewal of membership and new registrations- for 2016-17 is on till June 30. The general body agreed during the meeting on Friday that the last date for registration will not be extended and while those failing to register/renew their membership will be allowed to join the club activities, KPC ID cards will not be issued to them. It was also decided that in view of the club’s decision to give out the KPC Conference Hall for rent, henceforth, any organization(s) wanting to hold a press conference may utilize the conference hall on a nominal rent of Rs.2000 for full day and Rs.1000 for half day.
