The PWD Panchayat Ward-11, Kohima, has organised a felicitation programme in honour of Neibodzelie Solo (Bubu) councillor of Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) at PWD Panchayat Hall, Kohima on July 5.
Councillor Bubu in his speech thanked all the members of the colony for electing him unopposed to lead the colony.
While appreciating the Panchayat members for their unwavering commitment to the welfare of the community, he assured to give his best to make the ward a better place for all. He stated that the hard work and integrity of the panchayat leaders has set a benchmark for successors to follow.
“Your legacy of dedication, transparency, and community spirit is one that will inspire future generation of leaders to serve with the same level of commitment and sincerity,” he added.
He also urged the Panchayat members to guide and advise him with their experience and wisdom through his journey as a Councillor.
In the programme, a felicitation speech was delivered by Hokito Jakhalu, General Secretary while short speeches were delivered by the President of PWDWO, PWDYO, Chairman, upper/middle/lower council, Convenor, Sanitation Committee, PWD (General) and Dozhohü Tünyi, Chairman, PWD Panchayat.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Kevikietuo Theünuo, Vice Chairman, PWD Panchayat while the invocation prayer was pronounced by Rev Razouvizo Tetso. Welcome address was delivered by Kikhwesiil, finance secretary while vote of thanks was proposed by Sethrongse Sangtam, Secretary followed by a benediction by Satsü Angami, Deacon.
