Kohima, May 18 (MExN): New Market FC winger Sinlo Kent scored a hat-trick for New Market FC as they beat Highlanders FC by 9-0 of the ongoing Kohima Super Cup at IG stadium Kohima on May 18.
The win puts New Market FC into the quarterfinals of the tournament with two successive win.
Sinlo' hat-trick, Nyithong Magh two goals and a goal each from Visalie Mezhü, Gideon Leo, Limakumzuk Ao, Victor Thomsong secured a huge victory over Highlanders FC by 9-0. Nyithong Magh is the leading highest scorer of the tournament with five goals in two matches.
While in the second match, Hurricane Boys Phesema defeated Secretariat United by 5-0 in the second match. The first half saw both teams falling to break the deadlock but the young team manage to pull the string in the second half.
Their captain Theja Chuse scored four goals while Rokotuolie Thanyü scored a goal for Phesema team. Hurricane Boys will now play in the quarterfinals of the tournament.
