Kohima, April 11 (MExN): Kohima town assembly constituency NPF office bearers, along with MLA Dr. Nicky Kire had a get-together with erstwhile Congress and NCP workers on March 18 at Kire’s Farm. Dr. Kire whole heartedly welcomed the erstwhile Congress and NCP workers into the party fold.
Addressing the gathering, he urged them to work for the welfare of the people of Kohima town and also strengthening the party with their commitment and vision. He also called upon the party workers to rededicate themselves to the people and also set an example to others as Kohima town is the mirror of Nagaland. Voluntary speeches were made by Kohima town A/C NPF women wing president Abeiü, Arkeo Medom and Neibu on behalf of erstwhile Congress workers, and Kelhouphilie Pienyü, former Kohima District NCP president on behalf of the NCP workers. The programme was chaired by Hukato, vice president Kohima Town A/C NPF; Thejangulie Theünuo, president Kohima Town A/C NPF delivered the welcome address.
