The Kohima Village Students’ Union (KVSU) today conducted a felicitation programme for the achievers of UPSC, NPSC, NSSB, HSLC, HSSLC and other examinations.
Addressing the gathering at Kohima Village Council Hall, Kethosituo Sekhose, president Kewhimia Gazetted Officers' Krotho and Director, Youth Resources & Sports said that life is always evolving and there is something coming after every successful exam and it becomes narrow as we grow older “so one should give their best in what they do and decide what they will go for the next step.” He advised the students to be thorough of what they want to study and pursue and make sure that they choose a path that will be broad.
Keneirienuo T Zatsu, Deputy Director, Industries & Commerce, Nagaland, advised the students to identify their strength and pursue it.
Kekhriengunuo Solo, Top 20- HSLC 2024 and Neiphrenuo Alemyin Isaac Solo (AIR 749), UPSC CSE 2023 gave achiever’s message.
Under KVSU, 139 candidates qualified for HSLC exam and 122 for HSSLC exam 2024. Dr Neilhouzhü Kire Angami Award 2024 was awarded to Kekhriengunuo Solo, Top 20 position in HSLC examination 2024. Lhoulienyü Suokhrie award 2024 was conferred to Neingusanuo Kire for her achievement in Bachelor of Science (Botany) 2023 with a CGPA of 9.11 under Kohima Science College (A), Jotsoma.
An award was also presented to Neiphrenuo Alemyim Isaac Solo who got through UPSC CSE 2023.
KVSU Meritorious Award (Gold medalist 2023) was awarded to Kevilhoutuo Dennis Sote (Nagaland University, Kohima Campus, Meriema), Kevisenuo Khezhie (St Joseph’s College (A) Jakhama), Teisovinuo Khezhie (Kohima Science College (A) Jotsoma), Gwen Khosangunuo Solo ((Kohima Science College (A) Jotsoma), Nourhevinuo Whuorie (Kohima Science College (A) Jotsoma) and Neimezhünuo Rutsa (Assam Royal Global University, Guwahati).
The KVSU also acknowledged successful NPSC candidates (Common Educational Services Examination). It includes; Kekuoselie Dzüvichü, Dziesetuonuo Lienyü, Medochülie Ciesotsu, Medozonuo Ruth Kelio, Kevikhietuo Kesezie, Neisakienuo Nelly Yhome, Neiphreu Miachio, Khriebeinuo Keretsii, Vikehienuo Khezhie, Kevilhousa Dziivichii and Neikezhapfü Dzüvichü. NPSC (CTSE Agri, allied and others); Kikrukhrienuo Rutsa, Abigal Rüüzenuo Solo and Kerüülenuo Yhome. NPSC (NCS & Allied Services 2022): Kekhriengunuo Suokhrie. NPSC (Engg. Services 2023): Dziesebeituo Dzüvichü, Neichütuonuo Yhome, Ruokuosenuo Solo, Kelengunuo Solo and Thejazelhou Yiese.
Award was also presented to 10 successful candidates of Nagaland Staff Selection Board 2023. It included; Nourhetuonuo Christina Sote, Ruokuolhoulie Whuorie, Medovizo Khezhie, Kevibozo Kire, Ketholhoubei Chielie, Khriekedou Abel Whuorie, Ketholezo Yhome, Vikuosa Noudi, Thejangunuo Dziivichii and Nourhebeituo Phewhuo.
Certificates have also been handed over to 7 candidates for completing Ph.D. It includes; Virosanuo Solo, Thejasanuo Khezhie, Sedeneinuo Suohu, Megovilie Sachii, Khrieketuolie Sachii, Keviuuya John Bosco Sote and Neikesonuo Rame. The Union also honoured Keviphruotsü Dzüvichü, research associate, (Physical Anthropology Division), Anthropology Survey of India, Ministry of Culture (SSC Phase X 2023) and Teisovivor Suohu (Inspector of Income tax- CBDT- CGLE 2023).
Earlier, KVSU President Vilalhou Sorhie chaired the programme while vote of thanks was proposed by KVSU Information & Publicity Secretary Keneisezo Dzüvichü.
