Kohima, March 4 (MExN): The Ward Adoption Committee for 10th Northern Angami-I A/C under the chairmanship of MLA Khriehu Liezietsu organized and sponsored a sports meet for their adopted ward ‘Kenezou Colony’ at I.G.Stadium, Meriema, Kohima on March 2.
The programme was organized under the aegis of Kohima District Planning and Development Board activities 2018-2019, a DIPR report informed.
The main idea of organising the sports meet was to create oneness in order to maintain unity among the colony and also to celebrate the successful culmination programme of the adopted ward, it said.
During the sports meet, tug of war between the women group and football match between the colony representatives and the youths were played. The winners and runners-up were given prizes.
The committee extended its gratitude to Liezietsu for his support and contribution towards the committee and also the colony representatives for their participation in all the activities initiated by the committee, it added.
