Dimapur, March 21 (MExN): Youths organizations across Kohima town today severed loud and clear warnings to all the underground factions that any more clashes and violence between the groups shall not go without a response this time.
Infuriated youth organizations under the aegis of the influential Angami Youth Organizations met today and declared a number of decisions that included warnings, a demand for public apology from the underground faction responsible for the killing at Naga Hospital, punishment of underground cadres, as well as an own course of action from the youths if the demands are unmet.
“Time and again the innocent public has become victims of factional clashes and this cannot be tolerated anymore,” the organizations have said.
In connection with the killing which took place in the premises of the Naga Hospital Authority of Kohima, the Angami Youth Organization convened an emergency meeting with all the youth organizations of the various areas of Kohima on March 21 in the APO hall in Kohima. “That the faction/group should punish their cadres who were responsible for the incident in the Hospital where one innocent public was also injured. Punishment given should also be made known to the public.”
“The joint meeting also resolved that if the concern faction/group fails to tender a public apology and also punish the perpetrators of the crime, the youth organizations will jointly launch a non-cooperation movement against the faction/group.”
