Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) administrator Elizabeth Ngullie today flagged off PWD colony sanitation vehicle here at Upper PWD junction.
Ngullie called upon the Panchayat to make the best use of the provided facility for proper maintenance of sanitation as part of the cleanliness drive for Kohima Town for cleaner and garbage free capital city.
She also stressed on the need to put a collective effort to turn the colony into a model ward on good sanitary practices.
With the flagging off of the sanitation vehicle, she also asked the citizens to dispose off their waste/garbage to the provided biodegradable and non-biodegradable dustbin.
The KMC Administrator further called upon the citizens to maintain social responsibility and not to dump their waste garbage randomly. They were also asked to cooperate with KMC to maintain clean Kohima.
PWD Colony panchayat chairman Neibulie Kiewhuo acknowledged the KMC for providing a new sanitation vehicle for the ward. He sought the cooperation of each and every individual in keeping the colony neat and clean.
