The main celebration of the yearlong silver jubilee of Koinonia Baptist Church (KBC) commenced today at NBCC Convention Centre, Kohima under the theme ‘Proclaim the year of the Lord.’
Delivering a message in the evening service, Rev Zotuo Kiewhuo, Founder and Senior Pastor, Koinonia Baptist Church (KBC) and Principal of Kohima Bible College (KBC) told the congregation to rejoice at all times and not be victims but emerge victorious in the likeness of Christ. He also exhorted them to fix their eyes upon Jesus Christ.
He told the congregation to get rid of evils and stressed on the need for Church and believers to stand still in stormy times but rooted in the strong foundation of Christ and not be ‘misled by wrong doctrines and other demonic fests.’
Greetings were shared by Medoneiu Usou, Executive Secretary of Pesocha Baptist Church Council (PBCC).
Jubilee theme song was presented by Koinonia Baptist Church Choir while specials songs were presented by ‘The Rubies’, Ato Nienu and Nerhema Baptist Church Centenary Choir while the programme was chaired by H Rokopra Mekro, Assistant Pastor, KBC.
Earlier, Rev Zotuo Kiewhuo also unveiled the Silver Jubilee monolith at the New Church site in the presence of the Church evangelists, deacons and other workers.
On December 17, there will be a ‘Jubilee Concert and Talents Celebration’ at 10:00 am which will be compered by Kikruneinuo Liezietsu and Aben Belho.
There will be a gospel service at 4: 00 pm wherein Rev Joy Lalsangkima, Director of Agapia Social Centre will be the speaker.
Jubilee greetings will be shared by Solomon Wasker, Maharashtra and the service will be led by Medotseilieu Kiewhuo Pastor KBC.
Bus services will be provided at various locations in and around Kohima. Bus routes and picking points are at New Reserve/Lerie, AG, BOC, 2nd World War tank area, Phoolbari, Lower Agri/Lower Jail, Paramedical, Naga Hospital, Main Church Keziekie, Bayavü, KBC/ High School, Kenuozou, DBS, Koinonia Prayer Centre, New Reserve/Lerie/ Lower Agri/AG- Morning- 8:30 am and evening- 2:30 pm. All other buses are available at 9:00 am (Morning) and 3:00 pm (Evening).
