Konyak legislators honoured by civil societies

Mon, April 12 (MExN): Konyak civil societies headed by Konyak Union (KU) honoured the Konyak legislators of 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly at KU Conference Hall on April 11. 

According to a DIPR report, KU President, Tingthok in the welcome address requested the legislators to work for the development of Konyak community. KNSK President, Ponglem in her speech reminded some grievances faced by Konyak in general like road condition in Mon district, unemployment problem. KSU President, Noklem also reiterated to look into the developmental failures and also briefed about KSU Platinum Jubilee.

On behalf of Konyak legislators, Advisor Social Welfare, Noke said, “Peace and cooperation is important for development.” He urged the gathering to maintain friendly environment. “Just educational degree is not sufficient to build society. Know the roots, history of Konyaks,” he asserted.

During the occasion, song was presented by Yuwang & Friends while the programme was chaired by Chingwang Konyak, Vice President of KU.
