Mon, September 24 (MExN): The Konyak Union (KU) has informed that the Lao-ong Mo (post harvest festival) of the Konyak community which is observed every year on September 28 in celebration and thanksgiving to the Almighty God for the bountiful harvest will not be held during this season due to the current pandemic.
KU, President, S Howing and Social & Cultural Secretary, Towang Konyak in a press release informed that the celebration has been cancelled to further ensure that the safety and other precautionary measures relating to the ongoing circumstances is strictly adhered and followed by the public as authorized by the Government SOP.
In this connection, the KU has appealed all the concern citizens to observe Lao-ong Mo in their respective homes with families and loved ones and wishes everyone a Happy Lao-ong Mo.
