Dimapur, March 27 (MExN): Students of Khelhoshe Polytechnic Atoizu (KPA) are agitating against the “failure from the government to meet the demands of the students.” According to Khelhoshe Polytechnic Atoizu Students’ Union (KPASU) general secretary Khekiye Aye, the government has taken no initiative to arrange lecturers for conducting classes, “rather giving excuses by taking the shelter of the upcoming Lok Sabha election which clearly displays their lack of concern towards the student’s welfare.”
It stated that the post was lying vacant since November 2013 and reminders were written through the principal of KPA to the appointing authority repeatedly since the post fell vacant. Further, Khekiye Aye informed that the students’ body will not entertain “these lame excuses” and will continue to protest by boycotting classes and all other academic activities till their demands are fulfilled.
