
KOHIMA, AUGUST 27 (MExN): The Kohima Press Club (KPC) and Dimapur Press Club (DPC) have expressed deep sorrow over the sudden passing of senior journalist and author Jack T Chakhesang, who died on the evening of August 27 in Dimapur.
In a condolence message, the KPC described Jack as a close friend and noted that his passing has left a significant void. "Jack T. Chakhesang, who served as an officer in the Indian Army before transitioning to journalism, was also the former editor of The Naga Banner. As we grieve the loss of this remarkable individual, we celebrate his life and the many ways he has impacted those around him," the KPC stated. They extended their deepest condolences to his family and all who were touched by his presence.
The Dimapur Press Club (DPC) highlighted Jack’s extensive career, noting his role as former editor of The Naga Banner and his contributions to publications such as Eastern Mirror and Northeast Herald. "Jack's significant contributions to journalism in Nagaland will be long remembered. The club extends heartfelt condolences to his family and friends during this difficult time," the DPC added.
