Parliamentary Secretary for Planning & Coordination, Evaluation & Monitoring Cell and Taxes Neiba Kronu today inaugurated the Zapami Village cobblestone approach road and Government Middle School building at Zapami under Pfutsero sub division of Phek district.
Speaking on the occasion, he stressed that a good set of teachers is needed for educational institutions to impart right education to the students. Buildings alone will not bring any result, he said.
He also asked the villagers to stay focussed on agricultural activities to boost their economy. Also highlighting the various developmental activities under 16th Pfutsero Assembly Constituency, Kronu asked the villagers to extend their cooperation for effective implementation of the developmental activities.
He lauded the villagers for their strong attachment to the cultural activities which received acclamation from many quarters over the years.
On sanitary front, he praised the village for getting Nirmal Gram Purashkar (clean village award) some years back and further asked them to continue to focus on clean environment for others to follow suit.
Referring to the inauguration of cobblestone approach road, he said it was done on experimental basic and found quite viable on the ground of no cost maintenance.
