
Kohima, September 30 (MExN): Minister for Planning & Co-Ordination and Land Revenue Neiba Kronu laid the foundation stone of Chakhesang Public Organization (CPO) Multi-Purpose Building at Phek town during the seminar programme organized by CPO from September 28 to 29 at Phek under the theme “Sustainable Development.”
Addressing the gathering, Kronu highlighted some of the government activities such as widening and improvement of road connectivity and electricity generation within the district.
He also said that the waterways project connecting Myanmar through Tizu river with Chindwin river has been approved, which would facilitate cheapest ways of transportation.
He further urged upon the land owners and general public to give full cooperation on any developmental activities taken up by the government.
MLAs Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu, Dr Chotisuh Sazo and Kezhienyi Khalo also exhorted the gathering.
The resource persons of the seminar included; Hüsazü Epao, Principal Patkai Christian College, Vengota Nakro, project support specialist FOCUS, Nagaland Project, Senowekha Kenye, Rtd Director Geology & Mining and Velatso Demo, divisional forest officer Phek. They covered topics on education, agriculture, unity and biodiversity conservation.
