The Karbi Students Association (KSA) on Wednesday informed that it has decided to suspend its agitation temporarily and wait for the outcome of the tripartite talks between the Governments of Assam, Nagaland and the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC).

The KSA informed The Morung Express that a meeting was held between the Association and the Diphu DC following the latter’s meeting with the SP Diphu on November 18.

In the meeting, the KSA reiterated its initial demands and also demanded for a tripartite talk between the government of Assam, government of Nagaland and the KAAC. The DC reportedly assured the KSA that he would process the talk.

While the date for the tripartite talk is yet to be fixed, the KSA said that it would wait for the outcome of the talk during which the economic blockade would remain temporarily suspended.
