Dimapur, August 18 (MExN): Kuki Students' Organisation Nagaland (KSON) organised a one-day penalty shoot-out Tournament at Ahthibung local ground on August 18.
20 teams from various Kuki villages in the Ahthibung circle participated in the tournament.
After serious of playoffs, Songlhuh Youth and Students' Union (SYSU) defeated Christian School Ahthibung (CSA) 3-2 in the finals.
The tournament ended in the presence of the KSON officials where the sports committee handed over the cash price of Rs 6,000 to the wining team, a press note from KSON informed. The prize money was sponsored by Thena Haokip, Chungminthang Singson and Lhingneithem Singson.
Earlier, the tournament kicked off after a short opening ceremony with Seilun Singson (Deputy Ranger, Ahthibung Beat) as special guest. Rev. Lenthom Gangte (KCC) and Hellam Singson (Asst. Pastor KBC) respectively invoked the opening and closing prayer.
