Dimapur, January 6 (MExN): The 40th Kiruphema Students’ Union (KSU) general conference was held at Kiruphema Basa on January 4 with Theyievilie Suohumvü, Deputy Mission Director, State Mission Authority, SSA Nagaland as the Chief Guest. Addressing the conference, Suohumvü said that one should focus on intend by using intellectual strength and have patience with determination to achieve goal and judge self to have positive capacity. He also urged students to know the value of time management and sustainable use of natural resources. The programme was chaired by Lhouvizolie Vielie, invocation from Neihuü Suohumvü, special number from Mesalhoukho Zenyüu and meritorious award were presented to the students sponsored by Service Association Kiruphema. Pfnüeilie Visienyü, Kiruphema Basa Village Council exhorted the valedictory session while a vote of thanks was delivered by Khrieketoukho Visienyü and benediction was pronounced by Kedosietuo, Asst.Pastor CRC Kiruphe Basa. A new team office bearer for the year 2016-2018 lead by Keneiselhou Hozoyie was also installed. The conference also included extempore speech and debate competition among the students. While the extempore speech was bagged by Vikosielie Kruneilie, the debate held under the theme “Annual Nagaland Hornbill Festival” was bagged by the Motion group with Keneizekho Kruneilie as the best debater. The KSU further expressed gratitude to all well wishers, seniors, neighboring village Students’ Union, WASU and the SAK.
