DIMAPUR, JUNE 12 (MExN): The Konyak Students’ Union (KSU) has appealed to the Nagaland Government to immediately take initiative to implement construction of the railway line project from Dimapur to Tizit (Mon) at the earliest for the welfare of the people.
A press release from the KSU meanwhile appreciated the concerned Minister and the central government for sanctioning the railway line project from Dimapur to Tizit (Mon). “Mon district being one of the largest and remotest districts in Nagaland, people face immense hardship in terms of travelling within the state. However, with the approval of the railway line, the people of Konyak in particular and the Nagas in general will get relief from the travelling problem, especially reducing the distance in terms of journey,” the KSU said. It added that this railway line will also have a “great impact on socio-economic status of the region.”
