NOKLAK, August 8 (MExN): The Khiamniungan Students’ Union (KSU) issued a press statement today condemning an alleged sexual assault on four students by a teacher in Noklak. While stating, “Such a heinous crime is against the professional ethics of a noble profession,” it asserted that the School authority must ensure the case is closely monitored. “Safety and security of the child must be given top priority in all the educational institutions in the State. Perpetrators of heinous crime cannot be tolerated in a civilized society.” While stating that the “children were allegedly ‘molested’ several times by a habitual offender,” it demanded the police expeditiously investigating the case and the accused punished as per the provisions of law.
