KSU holds coordination meet on problems faced by GHSS Noklak

Noklak, June 25 (MExN): The Khiamniungan Students’ Union (KSU) has called for a co-ordination meeting on June 24 at GHSS, Noklak with the Principal and teaching faculty in the presence of the SDO(C), Khiamniungan Tribal Council, Khiamniungan Menyiu Hoikam and SMDC members.

The house discussed on the poor infrastructure of the school and resolved to renovate as well as construct one new class room during the summer vacation through community contribution. The project will be spearheaded by the KSU office as the school is in urgent need for accommodation of students.

The house also resolved to effectively implement the 6th subject by the next academic year. It further deliberated on the shortage of teaching faculty, where the Principal highlighted that the school (i.e. class 6-10) is running with only one Math and Science teacher.

The poor performance in the HSLC result 2022 was linked to non-implementation of 6th subject coupled with the shortage of teachers, where out of 123 students just 3 students could clear but for HSSLC out of 77 appeared 74 cleared the exam, a press release from the KSU informed.
