DIMAPUR, JUNE 12 (MExN): A career guidance event was organised by the Khiamniungan Students Union Dimapur (KSUD) on June 11 at Premier Lodge, 4th Mile with Pesha, Accounts Officer and Manager, North East Christian University (NECU) and Khumeng, Additional Director, Land Record, Dimapur as the resource person for the event.
The presidential address was delivered by K Buche Khiamniungan, whereby he stressed on the humble beginning and existence of the union and encouraged the students to explore and challenge their capabilities and potential in uplifting the union through their support and contributions.
A short speech was also delivered by President, Khiamniungan Union Dimapur. During his speech, he stressed on the importance of acquiring education and encouraged the students to follow their own interest and become not just job seekers but creators too.
During the first session, Pesha dwelled on the topics of entrepreneurship and skill development.Throughout the session, he laid down the importance of ever growing entrepreneurs in the State and also highlighted the vast potentiality and scope of entrepreneurship through self-discovery, academic approach and self-sufficiency.
The second session was chaired by Tsujang, Education and Statistical Secretary with Khumeng as the resource person. During the session, he highlighted various scopes, jobs and services in the government sector. He further stressed on the importance of the need to focus primarily on both government and private sectors.
Earlier the event was chaired by Sambai K, Executive Secretary. An invocation prayer was offered by L Bushai, Pastor, Khiamnok Baptist Church. Vote of thanks was delivered by PL Chongsop, General Secretary, KSUD.
