Noklak, August 10 (MExN): The Khiamniungan Tribal Council (KTC) has condemned the reported firing at ITC Dan on August 9, stating that “some insurgent groups are trying to create fear psychosis and tension many a times in the region.”
In a press release on Wednesday, it said that Khiamniungan people are peace loving citizens and cannot be silent spectators.
“Don’t make our land a battle fields, especially ITC Dan,” it said, while asserting that “Our tolerance level is already cross the limit.”
Stressing that need for peace and development in the district, it appealed to both the “Indian army and the Naga insurgents group to restrain gun battle at Noklak district where we also want to progress in every field except firing and battle fields (sic).”
