To bring Kiphire at bar in-terms of development with the rest of districts of Nagaland, Kiphire Town Council (KTC) Administrator, ADC Reny Wilfred IAS, Kiphire distributed 60 bags of cement each to 11 wards chairmen for the construction of drainage and footsteps in Kiphire Town under grant-in-aid programme.

Urging the ward’s chairmen to exhibit quality workmanship, the ADC said that cements were procured from Cement Corporation of India Ltd (CCIL) at the rate of 332 rupees, which otherwise would have cost 640 rupees had it been brought from Kiphire in the process saving more than one lakh.

To ensure that the quality and standard of cement is maintained, the ADC informed that he personally deputed ECA from Kiphire to CCIL Bokajan to verify the quality. He added that unless minimal resources are utilized and financial resources are put on development with support from the public development will be difficult.

Acknowledging that Kiphire has lot to catch up with other districts in areas of development he called upon ward’s Chairmen to maintain transparency and sincerely implement development projects given by the government.
