Kohima, September 19 (MExN): The Kohima Town Club (KTC) will be organising a football referee clinic from September 28 till October 2 at IG Stadium, Kohima. The five day long clinic will be conducted under the guidance of Joy Chandra Singh, AIFF Football Referee Instructor.
In a press release from the club, KTC stated that owing to global COVID-19 pandemic many physical activities have been put on hold, especially in sports activities. Now with the new relaxation by the government, the club came up with this activity in the form of a football referee clinic to improve the standard of the game.
“And also with the motives to bring AIFF Instructor and impart fresh updates on both physical and mental fitness to football referees/match officials. So that the state referees can conduct upcoming football tournaments/championships with confidence,” it added.

Meanwhile, the club has agreed to cancel this year’s edition of KFL due to the pandemic and agreed to conduct the said tournament next year tentatively during an emergency meeting held on September 14.
