Noklak, May 14 (MExN): The Khiamniungan Tribal Council (KTC) has resolved to 'clearly' monitor all missionary or any mission outreach activities under its jurisdiction in both India and Myanmar with immediate effect.
Accordingly, a directive regarding the same was issued to all concerned authorities and organisations interested and engaged in social or mission outreach activities under KTC Jurisdiction on May 14.
As per directive, all existing or ongoing mission activities or projects must be brought to the knowledge of the KTC office, and no activities or missions can be initiated without prior permission from the KTC office.
This step has been taken to uphold the KTC constitution and maintain social harmony, security, and a peaceful atmosphere in the context of the continuing deteriorating political situation under Myanmar, stated the directive issued by the KTC President M Thangou and General Secretary NSM Pakhiu.
