Cautions against any form of collection from construction agencies, workforce
Mon, December 2 (MExN): The Konyak Union Mon Unit (KUMU) conducted an inspection of the ongoing construction of the Medical College in Mon and the Aboi road project on November 28.
During the site visit, the KU acknowledged the progress made by KKP Rulhe and the Medical College construction team and MS Affluent Enterprise for the road works, informed a press release from the KUMU.

Further stressing on the importance of uninterrupted progress, the union called for prompt submission of the Detailed Project Report (DPR), urging all involved to maintain a renewed commitment to diligent completion.
Failure to take immediate corrective action may result in further consequences, it said.
The KUMU strictly prohibited any unofficial taxation, monetary demands, or collections from the construction agencies or their workforce, cautioning that such actions negatively impact the quality and pace of work.

Any group found imposing or collecting such taxes from the construction entity will face stern action as deemed appropriate by the KUMU, it added.
It also requested citizens not to obstruct the road, noting that both the Medical College and the road are public assets vital for the welfare and future of the people of Mon.
