Kudecho Khamo, PDSA, FAPF mourn Hünezo Thisa’s demise

Kohima, April 20 (MExN): The Phek District Sports Association ((PDSA) mourned the demise of the state archery coach Hünezo Thisa, who passed away on April 19.

“We have lost a pioneer, a coach, a promoter and a champion in the field of archery who have not only brought our community in the global platform but have also trained and produce many like him,” stated PDSA president Nezosa Tetseo in a condolence message.

Hünezo Thisa have dedicated his life for the promotion of archery in our state and have put Nagaland in the global map in the field of archery, the PDSA stated adding that “His achievement is nothing short of greatness but a beam of light for the community and the Nagas to cherish upon. His contribution and dedication will be forever treasured and remembered in our heart in the years to come.”

In a condolence message, Nagaland’s CAWD & Taxes advisor Kudecho Khamo described Late Hünezo Thisa as “a man of simplicity, humble yet hardworking and dedicated sportsperson who excels in the discipline of Archery and won Medals at various National and International competitions.”

Beyond his achievements in the athletes, he continues to contribute with his vision and leadership in nurturing young talents and producing numerous exceptional Archers and earned prestigious Awards as a testament to his unwavering commitment and dedication to the sport, Khamo added.

His demise is an immense lost not only to the family but also to the sports fraternity in particular and the society in general, he said and also on behalf of the Nagaland Wushu Association and on his personal behalf extended deepest condolences to his wife, children and all the loved ones.

“His achievements and contributions to Nagaland sports will always be remembered,” stated Football Association Phek District (FAPD) in a condolence message.

FAPD president Colo Mero stated “His discipline, humility and passion for excellence in sports will always be remembered and cherished by the sparing fraternity.”
