KUK appeal for action against ‘defaulters’

Kohima, February 9 (MExN): The Khiamniungan Union Kohima (KUK) has flayed the individuals who attended the consultative meet called by the Chief Minister on February 8 at Kohima. The Union executive meeting held on February 9 had alleged that the meeting was attended with vested interest without the knowledge of the Khiamniungan tribal bodies ignoring the call of the Nagas. The Union, in a press release issued by its executive chairman Timothy and secretary Pongom further appeals to the Khiamniungan Tribal Council (KTC) to initiate stem action against the “defaulters.” The Union support and reiterated the resolution Dated February 4, 2017 adopted at Noklak by the KTC and which was published on February 6 in local dailies to stand with the Nagas. The Union further extends solidarity with the stand of the JCS and NTAC to address the ongoing issue.
