Peren, Dec 17 (MExN): The Kuki Inpi Nagaland has expressed its sincere gratitude to the Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, Home Minister Thenucho, MLA, VI –Tening, Tarie Zeliang and Nagaland DGP I. Changkija for providing permanent security at Ahthinbung town under Peren district in view of the prevailing deteriorating law and order situation. The body also expressed its gratitude for giving their concern to its appeal made earlier regarding the constant factional clashes of NSCN in and around Ahthinbung which has disturbed the peaceful atmosphere of the region.
The Kuki Inpi further extended its appreciation to the personnel of 10th IRB posted at the town for maintaining law and order. “The sincerity and dedicated duties of 10th IRB under K. Kapfo, DSP for public safety and security at Ahthinbung town in the shadow of the two NSCN factions is highly praiseworthy,” stated a release issued by Kuki Inpi Nagaland. The body has also appealed to the State government to cover security measure even to the surrounding villages of Ahthinbung in Inbung, Songlhuh and Old Chalkot village to observe a peaceful festive season. It has further appealed not to withdraw IRB personnel from the town till complete normalcy retains in the region.
