Kohima, February 22 (DIPR): Governor of Nagaland Nikhil Kumar addressed the meeting of AHoDs and HoDs in the Secretariat in Kohima on 22nd February 2010.
Addressing the gathering, the governor emphasized on the need to maintain road connectivity with the villages in the state. He asked the Power department to give more effort to meet the power requirements of the state and encouraged the government to plan and set up e-governance for better performance. He lauded the senior officers for their positive contribution for the welfare of the people.
Also, Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio said the governor has vast experience in different fields and can guide in the field of development. Lauding the efforts of the senior officials for the achievement of the government for the past few years, the chief minister urged them to help and supplement one another for the benefit of the people.
The chief minister said that the government has declared the year 2010-11 as the ‘Year of Entrepreneurs.’ Rio urged entrepreneurs to participate in their best capacity. He also said that the ensuing Census 2011 should be conducted fairly in order to prepare accurate and reliable population figures.
