Officials with others during the “distribution of Kuroiler chicks to JFMCs under NFMP during COVID-19 pandemic towards economic development” held at Forest Complex Marepkong, Mokokchung on June 16.

Mokokchung| June 16 (MExN): The Divisional Management Unit Mokokchung (DMU) distributed of Kuroiler chicks to Joint Forest Management Committee (JFMC) which was an initiative under Nagaland Forest Management Project during towards economic development of JFMCs during the COVID-19 pandemic on June 16 at Forest Complex, Marepkong, Mokokchung.


The programme was initiated by Divisional Management Unit, Mokokchung, Field Management Unit Mokokchung and Field Management Unit,  Changtongya. In a brief programme, a talk on “Restoring Forest Conservation and Livelihood and the initiative under NFMP” was delivered by Dr. Sentitula (IFS), DFO-cum-DMU Head Mokokchung. 


A brief report on the progress of work under NFMP was given by Merentemsu , Chairperson, JFMC, Mopungchuket , Purlemba, Chairperson, Changtongya New JFMC and Sademmar, Chairperson, Mongsenyimti JFMC, which was followed by discussion hour.


 Review on work was discussed and inputs were given by different officials of the forest department. Two weeks old Kuroiler chicks along with feeds was given to each JFMCs.The programme was chaired by Moamongba, FMU Head Changtongya.
