Winners of the Kuzha Tephe Area Sports Association Wrestling Championship along with dignitaries and organizers.
DIMAPUR, JANUARY 13 (MExN): The Kuzha Tephe Area Sports Association held its 29th Area Wrestling Championship and 3rd Under-16 Wrestling 2024 on January 9.
Reka Mero defended his title as the champion for the fourth consecutive time in the senior category. He received a cash prize of Rs 1 Lakh along with a championship belt.
Wetilo Wetsa bagged the 1st Runner-up and received a cash prize of Rs 80,000. Chekhro Kapfo and Senowe Khutso bagged the 2nd and 3rd runner-up with a cash prize of Rs 60,000 and Rs 40,000 respectively.
In the Under-16 category, Meyekhro Mero won the title and received a cash prize of Rs 25000 while Mesuto Lasushe bagged the 1st runner-up. Dr Neisatuo Mero, MLA 16th Pfutsero Assembly Constituency and Isaac Kronu, Class-1 Contractor graced the occasion as guest speaker and guest of honour respectively.
