DIMAPUR, JULY 18 (MExN): The Kohima Village Council (KVC) has condemned the acts of arson committed by “some politically motivated persons” on July 16 near Hotel Vivor, Kohima. A press note from the KVC appealed to the public not to resort to such “acts of vandalism and cheap political propaganda in the guise of Kohima Village, thereby tarnishing its good image.” This particular incident has caused great anguish and grave danger to innocent lives and properties, it lamented and urged the authorities to immediately investigate and bring the culprits to book.
