KVC holds emergency meet 

KOHIMA, APRIL 17 (MExN): The Kohima Village Council (KVC) held an emergency meeting on April 15 to deliberate on various matters with regard to the ULB election to the three municipalities and 36 town councils of Nagaland.  A press release from the KVC informed that it resolved to uphold the KVC resolution passed on March 15, 2023; and to support the APO executive meeting resolution dated April 11, 2023.  The KVC meanwhile acknowledged the “matured wisdom and decision taken by the present State Government in postponing the recent proposed ULB election in Nagaland and repealing the Nagaland Municipal Act 2001 in toto.” It conveyed gratitude to the State Government under the leadership of Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio “for giving attention and keeping the voice and aspiration of the Naga people in top priority.”
