Kohima, October 26 (MExN): A day long programme on technology demonstration cum field day was organized by Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Kohima on October 25 at the office complex.
The Technical topic for the training programmes were Information Management with emphasis on Kisan Mobile Advisory Services (KMAS), Integrated Nutrient Management (INM) where application of biofertilizers and agricultural lime was highlighted, Stored grain pest management in reference to cereal s and the advantages and benefits of adopting System of Rice Intensification (SRI) in paddy were sensitized by Longma yanger SMS (Agri Ext), Zhiete SMS (soil conservation), Michael K pienyu SMS (plant protection) and Imtisenla SMS (agronomy) from KVK, Kohima.
The participants also had first-hand information by spot visiting the SRI demonstration plot at the office demo unit.
