Longleng, February 13 (MExN): Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) survey was conducted by KVK, Longleng at Yongam village on February 6 for future planning of agricultural and allied activities of the village.
It was conducted for identifying the thrust areas of agriculture, horticulture and animal resources in the village and mobilising the farmers to adopt new technology for livelihood development. During the PRA, village map, resource map, venn diagram, water resource map and labour engagement in agricultural operation was done by participants.
The village history, educational status, economic status and baseline information was collected by questionnaire method. Altogether, 25 farmers actively participated in the daylong programme including KVK Longleng officials. Village Council members, Church members, women SHG members and progressive farmers represented the village.
